    Great cheap lunch and worth the drive from Raleigh. Cheeseburger combo was awesome, especially the thick tomato slice on it that was obviously grown locally. Little one loved the grilled cheese and fries. Got out with two combos for just under $10 - can't be beat! Lemonade was also very good. Next time I'd ask for my fries extra crispy, but they were still great.

    Head over to Hills of Snow for dessert after and it's a perfect lunch!

    By far the best food I have ever gotten at a blue plate diner. Their breakfast and lunch is awesome. I had the bacon egg and cheese biscuit for breakfast and the bacon cheeseburger for lunch. Both were amazing

    Local old-school diner with hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken salad - all homemade.  Desserts, cookies also homemade. Sandwiches fixed "all the way" (chili, mustard, onions, slaw) or with your choice of toppings. Pepsi products, tea, lemonade. Fried chicken. Salads. Great family owned location, we're price equals quality. Walk up window gone. They have indoor seating now.  Grandma, grandson working the day we visited. Also offer country breakfast.  Biscuits, eggs etc.

    Well this is no place to take a first date but it is a good place get a good Carolina Dog. Rustic is an understatement but the grub is good and the hot dog chili is spot on.  There is no indoor dining and just a couple of seats available outside. Most folks seem to get their order and go or you can always eat in your car. They had a good health grade and a menu with a lot more than hot dogs / burgers.

    Breakfast and lunch only. So good. Any food tastes homemade. Nice people and clean. Little old ladies make the food. Shelter to keep you would if the weather while you wait. No seating. Takeout only.
